I like that the show is about finding treasure. I read that same article that the brothers read in Readers Digest when I was a kid. I'm just scratching my head raw wondering why nobody is asking if they are having so much trouble digging for the presumably buried treasure with all their highly specialized and expensive equipment how was a ship full of pirates/Navy personal going to get down that deep with nothing special just hand shovels? That is the question that has to be asked.

The items Gary is digging are interesting to see. And I’m sure that the people watching who know nothing about the hobby of metal detecting enjoy seeing those items dug as well. My complaint is that just because those items are being found does not mean there is a massive treasure buried on the Island. All those items just prove that for generations many different cultures visited there and left behind remnants of that past. Yet, the producers continue to push the false narrative that the found items pertain to a lost treasure. There BS is simply that, BS.

And why is no one asking how a culture that visited the Island maybe thousands of years ago, or even two hundred and fifty years ago have dug such an immense hole to bury an immense treasure? The producers won’t answer that question because that would be the end of the show.

If they ask the question, “How did they build this hole with just picks and shovels?” That would destroy their reasons for sucking millions of viewers into watching the show that is creating MILLIONS in revenue for them. It would mean that, because they can’t answer that question they would have to spend time on trying to answer it, rather than bringing in digging rigs and experts to help in the search. Just talking about the how the hole was possibly dug back then, vs. let's show them how we’ll do it, is more exciting and keeps the show going.

Having produced and hosted the first of its kind, a metal detecting/treasure-hunting TV show that was real, with no scripting, and having to deal with the TV networks and the snobs and idiots that control what we can watch, I can see right through the BS.

The Curse of Oak Island is not about finding the treasure. It’s an adventurous treasure hunt without a treasure. It’s TV fakery at its best. Follow the money.

I agree 110%. They will not find any vast treasures. And without the metal detectorist. They wouldn't have found anything.

LOL, ya, Geraldo, the fake name, of Jerry Rivers searching for a fake treasure. Oh wait, the biased fact checker “Snopes” says the name change is a lie. Anyway…

You’re right about that blacksmith. And honestly, those of us that have dug thousands of relics can identify many of the items without having to use a blacksmith. But the show has to bring in others, like I said in my article, they have to bring in experts to keep the show interesting.

If they found the treasure, it would be worldwide news. If that treasure is as large as they say it is, there is no possible way it could be kept a secret. However, those small treasures they find, ya, they are there, and I wrote about that possibility a few newsletters back, well those are easier to slip under the radar.

And don’t feel bad for the Lagina bro’s either. They’re getting paid a hefty bounty whether they find the treasure or not.

For the naysayers. Do you really think the bros would be going through all this trouble, and supposedly MILLIONS of dollars, which BTW is not their money being spent if they were not getting a big payment?

The bros have found their treasure, and it aint the one in the deep hole leading to China.
